Title: Writing a Children's Story
Lesson: This is a great lesson to use after your students have learned plot structure. They can then apply the elements of plot to their own narrative. Here is what you'll find on the worksheets:
Requirements:
1. Follow each step in the correct order.
2. You must have a cover with and illustration, title and author printed on the
front
3. Your book must be at least 10 pages long.
4. Each page must have at least 1 sentence and no more than 3.
5. Each page must have an illustration.
6. You must have an “About the Author” page.
7. Your story must have a plot (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action,
resolution) setting, characters, and a clear theme.
